《 Fête Grays Yard 》
Fête is again! Sure that’s proper, the most effective eatery in Chelmsford is again for good. They’ve renovated Laura Ashley’s outdated dwelling, around the again of Debenhams in Grays Yard. The inside is clear and stylish, with fashionable furnishings and loads of tables, upstairs and down! ✨
We popped in for lunch on day two of their opening week. You’ll discover the brunch and low menu served from 9am-4pm Tuesday to Sunday and small plates and nice wines on Thu-Fri-Sat evenings. ⏰
Fête classics such because the Duck Leg Hash function on the brunch menu alongside avocado toast, breakfast kebabs, tacos, eggs benny and a lot extra. The toasties menu has been changed with buns, excellent for lunch time! 🥑
We ordered the char sui pork stomach and the mergeuez sausage buns. I completely liked the sausage bun which got here with lamb chipolaters, halloumi, samphire and loads of smoked harissa yogurt and salsa verde. The buns have been glazed (I’m guessing with butter) and topped with black sesame seeds. 🍔
The char sui pork stomach got here with an enormous fried egg – a wonderfully orange yolk – kimchi and pickled radish. One other cracking mixture of flavours which went down a deal with with a facet of tater tots and a hash brown. Apparently the tater tots have been flying out the door since they opened and they’ll all the time be on our order on account of their mourishness. 🍳
We ordered a peach ice tea and mango, pinappple and strawberry smoothie to drink. And, couldn’t resist sharing a salted caramel brownie for dessert. 🍑
Total, we’re delighted to see Fête again on Chelmsford’s excessive road. We’ve already booked a desk for dinner in a couple of weeks time and might’t wait to take a look at the small plates menu. 🍽️
