
STICKY ORANGEY DRUMSTICKS
Ever heard of the phrase winner winner rooster dinner? Effectively this one was undoubtedly a champion – ‘sticky’ rooster, as requested by the husband, with out ketchup or jam (!) Simply good for the pickiest of eaters π

Zest of 1 orange
Juice of 1.5 oranges – save different half for slices on high
1.5 tbsp honey
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp grated ginger
2 cloves garlic, crushed
sesame seeds, toasted
recent parsley for garnish
Preheat oven to 200•C/390•F.
Place zest, juice, honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger and garlic in a saucepan.
Deliver to a boil after which simmer for five minutes till lowered to a thick syrup.
Place drumsticks in roasting dish.
Pour glaze over drumsticks ensuring that each one sides are coated with sauce – in between pores and skin and flesh too.
Cowl with foil.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, basting when vital.
Take away foil and proceed to prepare dinner for 10-15 minutes till pores and skin is golden.
Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds and parsley on high
