《 Channels Bar & Brasserie 》
My dad and step mum not too long ago got here to remain to assist with some reno work on the home. While I used to be busy working from dwelling upstairs they had been stripping wall paper in our eating room downstairs! I needed to repay the favour so booked a desk at channels_brasserie for dinner. 🏨

The menu options ‘pub’ classics comparable to the home burger, ribeye steak and pie of the day alongside some extra adventurous and seasonal dishes. No prizes for guessing which facet of the menu I picked from! 🍔

However first, the Miso Blackened Cod! My dad selected this and it was a superb selection. Served with bok choy, leek & shitake broth with pickled ginger, soba noodle and lotus Root. Sounds unique hey! 🐟

I saved issues autumnal and opted for the Venison as it’s sport season in any case. This got here with root veg dauphinoise, black garlic, blueberry ketchup on one plate then a facet dish of venison and chocolate chilli! The mix of textures and flavours was scrumptious, I particularly favored the venison chilli topped with creamy potato and puffed wheat. 🦌

My step mum selected the beer battered haddock which got here with smashed peas, tartar and lemon. Rustic chips had been topped with seaweed salt and a curry mayo. Delish! 🍛

We additionally ordered a facet of salt baked latte potatoes which got here with a chorizo mayo. I’d had these once we final visited and couldn’t resist ordering once more! 🥔

To complete we shared a few parts of Date Cake which was fantastically introduced with pear cremeux, whipped mascarpone, miso caramel and a yoghurt meringue. 🥮
